Lights from ... the Crescent Moon
This picture was taken while the moon was a Crescent.
I stacked two pictures of different exposure time to obtain a balance view of both the dark region of the moon and the illuminated crescent.
Earthshine is the reflection of sunlight by our planet onto the surface of the moon.
This is why we can see the shadowy area .
