180° view over the Danish Telescope at La Silla

Lights from ... the upside-down Milky Way.

In the middle of the night, in Chile, the Milky Way rises vertically perpendicular to the horizon. It is the opportunity to carry out a 180° panoramic view from horizon to horizon. Therefore, I tried to capture this image whereas we were standing below the 1.54-meter Danish telescope at La Silla Observatory (ESO).
This picture was taken in 5 different frames using the Sigma Art 14 mm F/1.8 lens, mounted on a Canon 6D camera.

Next to the dome, you can spot shadows of 3 other photographers of our group. From left to right: Romain Lucchesi, Norédine Benazdia and Mahdi Zamani.
